Pollution is one of the most visible effects of human occupation across the planet. Whether in the most remote of desertsorthe busiest of cities, we see the discarded signs of human habitation everywhere. Vehicle exhaust emissions, sewage, household refuse and chemicals litter the landscapes and pollute the oceans.
The fact that Antarctica is one of the cleanest places on earth makes it is an ideal location for measuring the spread of global pollutants. It is also one of the first places on earth where the effects of increased atmospheric carbon dioxide are being seen, and hence has a central role in research into global climate change.

Nearly all of Antarctica is covered by an ice sheet that is, on average, at least 1.6 kilometres thick. Antarctica contains 90% of the world's ice and more than 70% of its fresh water. If all the land-ice covering Antarctica were to melt — around 30 million cubic kilometres of ice — the seas would rise by over 60 metres

Save Energy..Switch off the unused lights & unplugging your mobile phone charger, even when your are in hurry to office :-)
Use Organic foods check the labels for info... this will lead to reduction in usage of pesticides, by which we can save our land by polluting....
and the same applies with the cloths we wear, go for organic
Plant as many trees as possible... don't you do gardening!!!!!!!!!! it's cool job to get refreshed from work... try it out for a change....
